Bloom and Balance Outcome
I created a logo, “Bloom and Balance,” because I wanted to design something that feels real. We’re used to seeing eco-friendly brands using super bright spring colors like baby blue or yellow, but I decided to go the opposite way. I picked a duller, more muted palette to reflect the actual state of our environment. Our environment is worn out with pollution, and we can’t ignore that. However, I kept that deep grass green in there to keep the design grounded in nature. The flower in the center is the most important part for me. It’s a reminder that even when things look a bit bleak, there’s still hope. It’s about resilience and the belief that we can turn things around if we actually try. For me, being eco-friendly is not just a public stunt to look good for others; it's what I do every day. I’m the person who’s always double-checking that I’m recycling correctly and making sure I don’t waste food. I wanted this logo to empower others to realize that being "green" doesn't have to be loud or flashy; it’s about finding that balance in our daily lives to help the world bloom again.

Reflecting on the Process of Bloom and Balance
Looking back, making this logo was a big step for me because I actually stuck to my goal of trusting my hands more than my anxious brain. Usually, I get totally stuck in my head trying to make every little detail flawless, but this time I focused on the feeling of the process rather than worrying if the result looked perfect. I also did this with the color palette (as you can see below), as instead of meticulously picking out the colors, I closed my eyes and pressed the space bar till satisfied. I wanted to let go of that pressure. I’m learning to trust that my work is enough just as it is, because the heart behind the design matters way more than creating the perfect piece.

Sonja, I really love the sense of calm this logo conveys. The color combination of muted, earthy tones and the circular composition with the flower at the center beautifully convey that feeling of tranquility while also suggesting a quiet sense of life blooming within stillness. It also feels well-suited for a yoga or meditation brand!
